Easter Egg Hunt!

Here are some photos from the first (hopefully) annual Hill family Easter Egg Hunt! We had several friends over and the kids had a blast searching both the front and back yards for the hidden treats! Then we had a BBQ and all the kids played all afternoon on the swingset, in the sandbox, and in the yard.
Dancing while the eggs are hidden!

More dancing. Jessica made yeast rolls and the kids devoured them as energy for the hunt!

Can't you tell I'm excited?

Kyle searching in the back yard.

Hallie found an egg!

Woods found an egg!

James is having a blast!

Where are the eggs?

Ah ha!

Now in the basket!

The front yard needed mowing, but made for good hiding and hunting.

Let's find some eggs!

More front yard hunting.

Zyah found a couple of eggs.

Say cheese!

Pick it up and put it in the basket. Rinse, repeat.

Clara outside and happy.

Hallie found a few in the front yard, now let's see about the back yard.

James and Anthony headed to the back yard.

Just a few eggs....

Playing with the confetti eggs. Real eggshells with confetti inside.

I can open them now, right?

MMMMM. Peanut Butter cups!

Compare the loot!

Jessica made dirt cake for dessert. Hallie had fun eating it.

She looks tasty, doesn't she?

Look out chickens!

Baby chickens had a rough week last week in our house. We had a great time dying eggs for Easter. James, Hallie, Ruby, and our friend Woods had a very good time making eggs pick up some color. An egg walks into a bar....

Clara looks excited for her first egg dying experience!

That's a lot of colors...

Ruby, Jennifer, Woods, and James getting ready.

That looks like fun daddy! Why are you standing so close to me?

James isn't interested yet.

Woods making a green egg. Where's the ham?

Ruby dying her first egg.

Now Mommy is standing close to me. Why won't you just let me dye the egg?

Yep, I'm cute. Now leave me alone with the egg and cup of dye please.

Pink! It's my favorite color.

Pink! I wanna wrap you...

The results of the kids' hard work.

Ruby did more work with her hands than the spoons. Her fingers match her dress.

Let's go to the Zoo!

In March Ruby went to the Zoo with her friends. It turned out to be a pretty big group. They had a blast, and we've got photographic evidence!

Clara looks excited to be at the Zoo, doesn't she?

Have maps, time to conquer the zoo!!
